The United States ended the 2008 FIVB World Grand Prix Final Round on a high note, beating China 3-2 at the Yokohama Arena on Sunday.
The Chinese women rallied from two sets down to level it at 2-2, but the Americans, Grand Prix champions in 1995 and 2001, came home 25-23, 25-19, 22-25, 21-25, 17-15 on their third match point.

"All the teams are very close right now and the result could go either way," said the United States' Chinese head coach Lang Ping. "We played well but we also had some luck today. We need to improve our level and reduce unforced errors and try to play more consistently."
The fourth-ranked Americans ended the week with a 2-3 win-loss record, dropping 2003 World Grand Prix champions and world No. 6 China to 1-4.
"We are very excited to come out of our last game of this tournament with a win and playing with a lot of heart and fight because that is what we will need in the Olympics," said American setter Lindsey Berg.
