Yang Rong
Yang Rong, the former chairman of Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, was ranked by Forbes as the third-richest man in China in 2001, with personal assets of 7 billion yuan ($1.05 billion). Yang helped restructure Brilliance from a stagnant State-owned automobile firm into the largest producer of mini-vans in China. He fled to the U.S. in 2002 after being accused of economic crimes.
