Nanjing University (NJU) is a national key comprehensive university founded in 1902 as Sanjiang Normal School. Located in Nanjing, the capital city of Jiangsu Province, NJU is known as the fountainhead of China's modern science. It has made significant contributions to China's education, academic research and cultural advancement. NJU has produced a great number of prominent elites and professionals over the past years, including China's modern physical science leader Wu Youxun, "Chinese Marie Curie" Chien-Shiung Wu, and renowned nuclear physicist Zhu Guangya.
