In 1951, Dr. C. C. Young, together with geological researchers at Shandong University, undertook the excavation of the Late Cretaceous dinosaurs in Laiyang City, Shandong Province, and collected a well-preserved complete skeleton of famous Tsintaosaurus. Featuring a decorative horn on its head, this herbivore was about 7 meters long and stood at 4.8 meters tall, weighing in on 1.5 tons.
