Known as the land of white clouds, Mt. Qiyun is located near Yanqian Town, 15 kilometers west of Xiuning County, Anhui Province. In Chinese, Qiyun literally means "high as the clouds". Although not as famous as Mt. Huangshan in Anhui, Mt.Qiyun is unique in the entire tourist resort in southern Anhui with its beautiful natural scenery, rich culture, especial geological structure and Taoist culture. Much has been done to preserve the Taoist culture on the mountain. With a maximum elevation of 585m, this mountainous area covering 110 square kilometers has been designated a national forest park. This area is divided into four scenic spots, namely Yuehua Street, Towers above Towers, Young cave, and Hengjiang River. There are plenty of tablet inscriptions and stone inscriptions on Mt. Qiyun. Among them, the inscriptions "heavenly magical beauty", "marvelous prominent peak" and "wonder from time immemorial" are so grand that they are praised as the epitome of perfection.
