More modern attractions were on display, with one performer performing amazing balancing acts while riding his ordinary bicycle. I can see me falling off if I tried the same!! I was impressed by this because the ground was wet and slippery, and I felt it would have been hard to maintain the balance of the bike.

Other performers continued entertaining us from the stage area, demonstrating strength and agility; one blowing multiple trumpets and another balancing heavy silver ball. The performances amply rewarded those people who left the comfort of warm homes to come out into the snow. The bright colors and happy music were cheering and warming.

The Temple Fair continued, but the snow and cold were beginning to chill me, and the thought of hot food was tempting, so I reluctantly tore myself away from this lively and colorful event. It had been nothing like a church fete back home!!
