As tourism flourishes of all over Asia, governments of many countries and global investors are bound up in building more and more theme parks to boost local economy. In four years the world's largest Universal Studios is set to open outside of Seoul at a cost of 2.7 billion U.S. dollars. Meanwhile, the new Disneyland is under construction in Shanghai.
Forbes.com has listed 12 Asia's top theme parks, and three of them are located in China.
1. Universal Studios, Singapore

This just-completed in February destination is Singapore's first theme park in real meaning. It is expected to receive 0.46 million locals and 0.97 million tourists every year.
The whole park includes rides and shows based on television programs and movies like Battlestar Galactica, Shrek, Madagascar, Jurassic Park and The Mummy.
