Some 220 kilometers from Chengdu, among the Henduan Mountains, there are four adjacent peaks that comprise the Four Girls Mountains Range. It is a favorite destination for backpackers and mountain climbers from home and abroad.

The peaks of Four Girls Mountains are covered by snow and ice all year round. The mountains are hailed as "the Alps in the East". Each year in summer, the valleys and open grasslands at the foot of the mountains are carpeted with wild flowers of numerous colors, making it an ideal place both for the locals and city people to escape the heat.
