The hot summer has been hard to survive this year so far. With that in mind, you should not hesitate to visit an ice cave to better cope with the high temperatures. There are 12 ice caves in China to help you relieve the summer heat.

No.1 Ice Cave - 10 Thousand Years Old

This cave has the most ice, compared with other ice caves in China.

Location: Deep in Guanceng Mountain of Chuanjingwa County, Shanxi Province.

Transportation: Take the train to East Ningwu Village, Shanxi Province and you can rent a car to get to the cave.

Admission: 50 yuan per person

No.2 Ice Cave - Thousands of Years Old

Location: Taibai Moutain of Mei County, Shan'xi Province

Transportation: Take the regular bus from Panjia Village of Shan'xi Province to Mei County and change to the Tangyukou minibus.

Admission: 50 yuan per person

No.3 Cuihua Mountain Ice Cave

Location: Taiyukou, 30 km south of Xi'an, the capital of Shan'xi Province

Transportation: Take No.5 tourist bus out of the Xi'an railway station.

Admission: 38 yuan per person

No.4 Baiyi Village Ice Cave

It is so unique that the cave freezes in the summer while it's stays warm in the winter.

Location: Xiyabi river bend, Baiyi Village, 38 km northwest of Wufeng county, Hubei Province

Transportation: Rent cars from Yichang City, Wuhan Province

Admission: Free
