The tourism industry has boomed in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region since early August.

The daily visitors to Tianchi Lake have topped 10,000 personnel. The tourists' numbers in scenic zones such as Kanas and Turpan has increased rapidly. The International Dabazha Theater in Urumqi receives 1,200 visitors daily.

The number of total visitors is estimated to top 2,500 this year despite last year's downturn, according to the local travel department in Xinjiang.
