Yibin is located in southern edge of Sichuan Basin and at the juncture of Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou provinces. As Jinshajiang River and Mingjiang River gather here, it's wellknown as "The First City along Ten- Thousand-Mile Yangtze River". Today, Yibin has 1 district and 9 counties, with a population of 5.35 million and an area of 13,283 square meters.

This city has a profound culture with a history over 2190 years as well as a wine-brewing history over 4000 years. It's well-reputed as a "Famous Historic& Cultural City of China", "One of Most Popular Travel Cities in China", "Wine Capital of China" and "Hometown of Chinese Spring Tea". Available with rich resources and favorable geographical location, Yibin is a bright pearl in the upper reaches of Yangtze River as it's located at the starting point of the golden waterway and the juncture of "5 Vertical and 7 Horizontal" traffic arteries. Based on a complete network of railway, highway, waterway, ports and airlines, Yubin is becoming a "gate" in sourthern Sichuananda "bridgehead" accessible to the sea.
