'Wujiang River Gallery' in Chongqing opens water travel route

The first water-travel route named "Wujiang River Gallery" has been inaugurated in Wujiang River of Chongqing during New Year's Day holiday. Tourists can travel now over the Wujiang River and enjoy the beautiful sceneries by water.

Wujiang River is 1,037 kilometers long and the "Wujiang River Gallery" refers to the water sections along Pengshui and Gongtan in Chongqing to Yanhe in Guizhou Province. Tourists can see the hills, gorges, bizarre-looking rocks, among others.

It is reported from the Chongqing Tourism Bureau that the test-run ticket price for the trip is 200 yuan ($30) or so: Pengshui-Gongtan water section (about 41 kilometers) takes about 2.5 hours and the test-run ticket price for the section is 180 yuan ($27); Gongtan-Yanhe water section (about 54 kilometers) takes about 3 hours and the ticket price is 220 yuan ($33).
