Located in the north western district of Linzi, Shangdong Province, the city was the capital of the Qi State during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States periods.

Located in the north western district of Linzi, Shangdong Province, the city (临淄齐国故城) was the capital of the Qi State during the Spring and Autumn (770-476 BC) and Warring States (475-221 BC) periods. It is divided into two cities: the big city and the small city.

The big city was 4.5 kilometers from north to south and 3.5 kilometers from east to west, and served as the dwelling place for officials, businessman and citizens. The small city housed the palace and ran 1.5 kilometers east to west, and 2 kilometers north to south. A museum was built at the site, exhibiting hundreds of cultural relics unearthed over the years.
