Aershan city in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is surrounded by a diverse landscape of vast grasslands, thick forests and pristine lakes. Straddling the middle reaches of the Great Khingan Range, the rich vistas of Aershan draw large numbers of summer tourists each year.
