Mount Heng, the southern mountain of the Five Sacred Mountains of Daoism, is located in Hengyang County in the central part of Hunan Province. The biggest temple on the mountain is Nanyue Temple, which is the largest group of ancient buildings in Hunan, covering an area of 100,000 square meters. It is also the largest and best-preserved ancient palatial architectural complex of south China. [Photo by Wang Maoheng]
