Nonstop Guilin-Kuala Lumpur route to open

According to Guilin Liangjiang International Airport, a fixed nonstop route from Guilin to Kuala Lumpur is scheduled to open from September 3, 2008.

There will be four flights a week on the new route operated using Airbus A320 aircraft. Every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday the flight will start from Kuala Lumpur at 06:40, and arrive at Guilin at 10:40; the return flight will depart from Guilin at 11:10, arriving at Kuala Lumpur at 15:10.

Earlier in 2003, there was a non-scheduled charter flight on the Guilin-Kuala Lumpur route, and it has been operating for more than five years. The additional fixed nonstop service is provided by Air Asia. It is reported that this new route is the fourth scheduled international route through Guilin airport following routes to Bangkok, Seoul, and Osaka.
