More than 30 young students aged 18 to 25 years, all from Beijing, are taking part in a three-day workshop that allows them to dance with contemporary professional ballet dancers. Half of the youth group members are disabled people nominated by the China Disabled Persons Federation.
The young advocates have worked with globally renowned providers of community education, such as the Royal Ballet of the United Kingdom, to develop the skills, to become the supporters of the Paralympic Spirit and to encourage the inclusion of young people with disabilities in sport.
