More than 200 young people aged 18 to 25 from around the world will take part in the Paralympic Spirit Youth Forum in Beijing during the Paralympic Games.
Held at the National Paralympic Training Center, the six-day Youth Forum will provide these young students with intensive skills training, delivered by leading UK educators, which will enhance their employability and their ability to act as advocates for the Paralympic Spirit – the principles of inspiration, determination, participation and equality.
The forum is a part of the Young Advocates Program, a cultural exchange sponsored by the Culture and Education Section of the British Embassy in Beijing and organized in partnership with the Chinese Disabled Persons Federation. They aim to develop the skills of young students to become supporters of the Paralympic Spirit, and to encourage the inclusion of young people with disabilities in sport.
