Overseas Chinese in Canada celebrate Shenzhou 7 success
China has successfully launched its third manned spacecraft, and completed its first spacewalk. Overseas Chinese in Toronto, Canada, say they are proud of their homeland's power and prosperity, as well as the great improvement of the space program.
Chen Bingding, Chairman of Canada Association of Overseas Chinese said "Spacewalks play an important role in a country's space program. It means China's scientific space research has reached the same level as developed countries. It also represents China's national strength. After holding the Beijing Olympics, China has successfully launched a spacecraft and performed a spacewalk. That is really exciting for not only the 1.3 billion Chinese people, but also for the overseas Chinese in the globe."
Huang Zheng, Former Student of Beijing University said "I used to do aeronautics research. As a overseas Chinese, I am very proud of the achievements of the Shenzhou 7 mission. China not only completed a spacewalk, but also ensured life saving system for the astronauts. This is a great improvement and breakthrough."
