Newcomers Duffy and Alexandra Burke have been crowned music champions by the Official Chart Company in the UK.

X Factor winner Alexandra Burke, despite having only been in the UK charts for less than 3 weeks, firmly stamped her mark by having the biggest selling single of 2008, with "Hallelujah.' It has so far sold 888-thousand copies.

Alexandra won the chance to release the song as part of her prize for winning a singing contest on British TV, called X Factor.
