The 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games has begun its two-year countdown. Organizers say they have come up with creative plans for the opening and closing ceremonies.

But the plans still need to be detailed. A grand ceremony was held Wednesday night to mark the countdown and to announce the start of a series of activities. One activity is to send a team of professionals, media and volunteers to visit Asian nations and regions.
