Signs of Christmas are everywhere throughout Europe, even though Christmas is still more than a month away. In one of London's famed shopping districts, shoppers can control the festive lighting. The man known in Germany as Mr. Christmas is decorating his house with mechanical models of Father Christmas. Children love it.
In a break from traditional Christmas lighting, the display in London's Covent Garden is interactive.
The installation consists of 568 two-metre LED tubes suspended throughout the shopping area.
Chris Bird, lighting designer, said, "Ali (Alexander Solace) is an architect that works for our company (UVA) and he has designed this touch screen interface for the public to actually control the display.
