Monday marks the first anniversary of China's National Center for the Performing Arts.

Deng Yijiang, Deputy President National Center for The Performing Arts, said, "It's not only a celebration. We want to build it into a brand, a real national-level hall for art and music. And we sincerely hope more people will join us for a great journey of art through the celebrations."

The National Center for the Performing Arts has successfully staged over one thousand performances since it opened a year ago. About 320,000 people have enjoyed more than 800 art and music lectures at the grand theatre.
