The International Atomic Energy Agency says the DPRK informed IAEA inspectors at the Yongbyon nuclear facility to leave the country on Tuesday.
The DPRK is also insisting that the IAEA dismantle all monitoring facilities. The DPRK has added that it will restart all plants making bomb-grade plutonium.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says the United States views Pyongyang's move as an unnecessary response to the UN Security Council's recent joint statement of legitimate concern.
She also says the US hopes to discuss the issue not only with its allies but also with the DPRK.
