The National Bureau of Statistics says China's GDP growth fell to 6.1 percent in the first quarter of this year. Although it was the lowest in nearly a decade as the global financial crisis continues, some people say it's still better than expected. We're joined now by Professor Liu Baocheng form the University of International Business and Economics.
Questions:
Q1:Professor Liu, how do you think this data will affect the goal of 8 percent GDP growth for this year as a whole?
Q2: What will be this growth contribute to the world economy?
Q3: Since it's a slow rise for the first quarter, will the Chinese government expand its stimulus plan to further boost the economy?
