Eight years after the attack on the World Trade Center in New York, the 9-11 Memorial and Museum is taking shape. People from around the world are invited to contribute their 9-11 experience to the museum.
September 11th, 2001, is a day that will live long in memory.
Eight years later, new amateur footage of the tragedy has been released to the public online.
The National September 11 Memorial and Museum announced its "Make History " campaign to encourage worldwide participation.
Joe Daniels, Museum President, said, "Today we are launching a new initiative called Make History at 911 history.org. Make History is an online worldwide call for contributions to the exhibit through images, videos and personal stories from 9-11 and the days that followed."
Some of the submissions already are on display at a temporary exhibit place near Ground Zero.
A massive memorial and museum are planned.
