Just as movie stars are an indispensiable part of a film, celebrities also play a big part at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. Over the weekend, Chinese pop star Li Yuchun strutted the red carpet on the French Riviera. The multiple singing contest winner, also known as Chris Lee, was there to promote her acting career. On the sidelines of the festival she talked about her showbiz career and her take on social media.

The 30-year-old singer hit the red carpet on Saturday not in the usual gown but in a trade mark silk pant suit. Li says there's lots to consider in choosing an outfit that has to represent her style.
"It's a very difficult decision making process because all the gowns are so beautiful. At the end of the day, I just want to be very comfortable on the red carpet and the overall style has to be very 'me'. So the outfit is going to be very cool, and look beautiful," she said.
Since becoming one of the first winners on China's Super Girl singing contest Li has signed to represent many notable brands. Last year at the MTV Europe Music Awards, Li won Best Worldwide Act beating other nominees including Justin Bieber, One Direction, and Korean boyband Exo.
