Solo & team wins for Cao in 50-meter rifle 3-positions
China also picked up two more golds in men's shooting, with 26-year-old Cao Yi'fei a winner in both events.
In the 50-meter rifle three-positions men's team finals, China sent up Cao, Olympic champion Zhu Qi'nan, and Kang Hongwei. They shot a total of 3502 points, setting a new Games record. It was five points higher than the total they tallied while winning the World Championship earlier this month. The silver and the bronze went to South Korea and Japan respectively.
Cao and Zhu then participated in the individual event, and it came down to the Chinese shooters. But Cao proved to be the best, beating his teammate by just 0.3 points. He scored 455.5 points in total. India's Singh Chain claimed the bronze.
