China is willing to work with Colombia to push forward bilateral ties, Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping said Thursday.
Xi made the remarks in a meeting with Colombian Vice President Francisco Santos, who is in Shanghai to attend the 2010 World Expo opening ceremony.
Xi said China would further increase mutual trust and deepen cooperation with Colombia to raise their relations to a new level.
Santos, on behalf of Colombian President Alvaro Uribe and the Colombian people, expressed congratulations for the Shanghai World Expo.
The impressive development of Shanghai reflected China's economic vitality and Colombia was willing to strengthen all-round cooperation with China under new situations, he said.
