A French woman held in Iran on spying charges has been released and is returning home, the French president's office said on Sunday.
Clotilde Reiss, 24, was arrested on July 1 and was charged with acting against national security.
Reiss was arrested during the post-election unrest in Iran after working at the Isfahan University for six months.
She was sentenced to two terms of five years in prison, but the jail sentences were commuted to a fine of 285,000 U.S. dollars.
