China to boost ties with Mexico: Vice PM

China will boost cooperation with Mexico in various fields and at various levels to benefit the two peoples, Vice Premier Li Keqiang said in Beijing Monday.

During a meeting with Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Patricia Espinosa Cantellano in Beijing, Li hailed the booming political and economic ties between the two states.

"As major developing countries and emerging markets, China and Mexico are important trade partners that have carried out fruitful cooperation in agriculture, mining, telecommunications, culture and tourism," Li said.

He urged the two states to further coordination to push for progress at the upcoming UN meeting on climate change in Cancun, Mexico.

Espinosa said her country attaches importance to relations with China and will enhance cooperation with China to realize common development.
