The bodies of 104 people, including 21 children, have been recovered since Sunday's sinking of a cruise ship on the Volga River, a Emergency Situations Ministry spokesman said Wednesday.

The ministry said most of the bodies were found on the ship's topside, which housed a music lounge, bar and restaurant.

The ministry said some 200 divers are still scouring the river for bodies.

A total of 208 people are believed to have sailed on the 55-year-old double-decker boat, the Bulgaria, that authorities say was overloaded when it sank.

The Bulgaria went down in the Volga river Sunday during a cruise between Bolgary and Kazan, about 750 kilometers east of Moscow.
