She is set to meet with Hong Kong's Chief Executive Donald Tsang and city legislators, AP reported.
She will also deliver a speech "underscoring US economic leadership in the Asia-Pacific" at the American Chamber of Commerce.
After her tour in Hong Kong, she will visit southern Chinese city of Shenzhen and hold talks with local officials.
AP reported that Clinton's China visit comes as two countries continue sparring over their increasing economic integration. The U.S. calls for China to boost the value of its currency, while China calls for the lifting of US export and investment controls.
In another development, Clinton said in a statement on Sunday that the U.S. had invited Kim Kye-Gwan, vice foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), to New York for talks on the possible resumption of the six-party negotiations on nuclear issues.
"Vice Foreign Minister Kim will meet with an interagency team of U.S. officials for discussions on the next steps necessary to resume denuclearization negotiations through the six-party talks," the statement said.
That revelation came after North and South Korean envoys held unexpected talks on Friday, on the sidelines of the Asian security forum.
Clinton said she was "encouraged" by the talks, but warned that the US was not ready to offer new concessions to re-start the stalled negotiations, AP reported.
The six-party talks involve North Korea, South Korea, China, the U.S., Japan and Russia. The last round ended in a stalemate in December 2008.
