China announced Thursday that it will offer emergency food aid worth 90 million yuan (14 million U.S. dollars) to Zimbabwe, the Ministry of Commerce said.
The food assistance will be provided to ease starvation caused by drought in the country, the ministry said in a statement on its website.
The move came after China offered nearly 70 million U.S. dollars in emergency food aid to drought-hit countries in the Horn of Africa.
