Myanmar parliament speaker meets China's judiciary delegation

Speaker of the Myanmar's Parliamentary House of Representatives U Shwe Mann met with visiting China's judiciary delegation, led by Bai Jingfu, in Nay Pyi Taw Monday.

Bai is member of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress and Deputy Director of Internal and Judicial Affairs Committee.

Bai said that attaching great importance to the development of China-Myanmar relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, China 's National People's Congress would like to enhance exchange and cooperation with Myanmar's parliament, enrich the content of China-Myanmar comprehensive strategic partnership and push forward the development of the two countries' bilateral ties.

At the meeting, U Shwe Mann thanked China for its long-term support and assistance rendered to Myanmar, saying that Myanmar would also like to further deepen the two countries' exchange and cooperation in respective sectors including parliamentary affairs.

Shwe Mann reiterated Myanmar abides by the one-China policy.

Bai also met with Chairman of the Committee for Judiciary and Legal Affairs of the House of Representatives Thura U Aung Ko and Minister of Home Affairs Lieutenant-General Ko Ko.

Bai arrived in Mandalay on Sunday for a goodwill visit to Myanmar.
