An earthquake measuring 5.9 on the Richter scale jolted Bio-Bio, Chile at 02:58:23 GMT on Saturday (2012-02-11 10:58:23 Beijing Time), the U.S. Geological Survey said on its website.
The epicenter, with a depth of 35.00 km, was initially determined to be at 37.2859 degrees south latitude and 73.2051 degrees west longitude.
