Two Chinese nationals died of carbon monoxide poisoning in Russia's southern Ural region of Chelyabinsk, local authorities said Wednesday.

Two men, 17-year-old and 47-year-old, were found in grave conditions in a private house in Tyubuk village on Sunday.

They were immediately hospitalized for emergency treatment, but died early Wednesday, the police said.

The two men died of breath paralysis and liver deficiency after they accidentally inhaled a large amount of carbon monoxide from a coal oven in the house while sleeping, physicians said.

Last Saturday, seven Chinese nationals were injured in a gas explosion at a Chinese restaurant in St. Petersburg.
