Various departments and districts in Chengdu are making preparations for 17 projects, including "six conferences," "seven promotions" and "four exhibitions" which exemplify the overall theme of the 15th Western China International Fair (WCIF). Of these, the 9th China-Europe International Fair for science and technology investment and trade cooperation and the 2014 Asian Education Forum Meeting are considered essential projects. The 2014 Overseas High Tech Conference (OHTC), Chengdu Investment Presentation & Project Signing Ceremony, and the China (Chengdu) Forum on the South Silk Road Economic Belt fall into the special activities category.
The Chengdu-based exhibition will be divided into three parts: overall presentation of the city, the industry and industrial products. Priority will be given to industrial displays, focusing on key industrial products offering advanced technology and unique experiences, in order to represent industrial development in Chengdu.
