Actor Nicholas Tse's management company says it is considering suing the Hong Kong star's brother-in-law for slander after he was quoted as saying Tse showed "intolerable indifference" to his wife even when she suffered a miscarriage.
The Emperor Entertainment Group made the announcement after claims by Ronnie Cheung, Cecilia Cheung's younger brother, that Tse hung up on his weeping wife, saying it was "none of my business" after she phoned him about her miscarriage in 2007, Friday's Hong Kong-based Mingpao Weekly magazine reported.
Cheung said his sister's miscarriage came when she was overwhelmed by the pressures of taking care of her son, Lucas, while Tse was always away at work.
He said her life was made more miserable when she witnessed Tse bringing a massage girl home.
Also, he revealed to The Three Weekly magazine, when Tse was playing video games, he would push Lucas away if the boy came close wanting to hug his father.
There were more revelations of an unhappy marriage in the Apple Daily newspaper where Tiffany Chen, a senior producer who helped Cecilia Cheung build her career on the Chinese mainland, said the actress told her recently that "she doesn't love Tse any more."

Chen attributed their breakup to Tse's indifference. Chen said the couple had lived separately even before a recent meeting of Cheung and Edison Chen revived memories of a lewd photos scandal involving the pair.
Chen said Cheung had threatened to kill herself by jumping off a building with her son after Tse locked himself in a room, refusing to talk with her for days after the 2008 scandal came to light.
"She was at a loss and helpless. Her parents were divorced, which had a great impact on her," Chen said.
The latest revelations seem to pour cold water on claims the couple might reconcile after Tse told reporters he still loved his wife at a press conference last Sunday.
Some reports say Tse is waiting for Cheung's signature on divorce papers.
