Chen Kaige's "The Big Parade" and Tian Zhuangzhuang's "The Horse Thief" were released in 1986.

In 1987, Huang Jianxin wrapped up the shooting of "Cuo Wei." It was controversial for its black humor.

Chen Kaige completed his "King of the Children", which was sold to 14 foreign countries.

In 1988, Zhang Yimou's directorial debut "Red Sorghum" was released, and made a name for him as a great director.

In the 1990s, the political climate changed and the radical film revolution full of idealism began dying.

Thirty years later, many realize that a collection of the best Chinese films were made during that period. It was a golden era that has not been surpassed until now.
