Born on Jan. 24, 1963, Shunji Iwai is a Japanese film director, video artist, writer and documentary maker. His best-known films include "Love Letter" in 1995, "April Story" in 1997, "All about Lily Chou-Chou" in 2001 and "Vampire" in 2011.
