Boonie Bears, or Xiong Chu Mo in Chinese was a popular Chinese animated cartoon series that was earlier telecasted on Central China Television.

Now its second big screen adaptation will be released later this month. With a mix of adventure and comedy, the film 'Boonie Bears: Mystical Winter' was praised by Golden Horse award-winning Chinese actress Li Xiaolu and her little daughter.

"This televised version of this cartoon is well known all across China. Now going to the cinema to feel the charm of the lovely bear brothers on big screen might well satisfy my daughter's addiction to this cartoon."

Li's husband, Chinese actor Jia Nailiang, also talked about their daughter 'Little Tianxin's favorite character during the film's premiere.

"Little Tianxin is fascinated by "Bald Qiang", a logger in this animation. As soon as she discovers the logger's image as she steps onto the stage, she might get very excited."

'Boonie Bears: Mystical Winter' or Xiong Chu Mo Zhi Xue Ling Xiong Feng in Chinese is scheduled to hit the big screen on January 30.

Boonie Bears was first shown in February 2012 and became the most popular children's TV show in China.

Last year, Boonie Bears was first adapted for the big screen and earned 250-million yuan box office success.
