Beijing's second international airport, which is situated in the city's southern Daxing District and Hebei Province, is expected to begin construction in 2014, with preparations currently underway. Upon completion, it is expected to handle 70 million passengers annually by 2025. An air transport-related economic zone is also on the cards, worth an investment of 84 billion yuan (US$13.3 billion).
