The new three-year action plan attaches great importance to the development of cultural and creative industries in the southern areas. A total of 15 billion yuan (US$2.4 billion) will be invested to develop Tianqiao Performance District, an area integrating cultural performances and traditional culture displays, supported by a complete array of conveniences, including catering, entertainment and shopping.
