Johnson Controls Inc will invest about US$90 million to build a plant for automotive batteries in east China.
The plant, at the Changxing economic development zone in Zhejiang Province, will have an annual capacity of 4 million automotive batteries, employing 350 employees, the United States company said yesterday. Construction will start next month, and production is set to commence in June 2010.
