Ning Gaoning is currently chairman of China National Cereals, Oils and Foodstuffs Corporation (COFCO), China's state-owned food processing giant. COFCO has been listed in Fortune magazine's Global Top 500 Companies since 1994.
Ning has been recognized as one of the 25 most influential business leaders by Chinese Entrepreneur magazine five times so far. In 2009, he was named Asia's Business Leader of the Year by CNBC Asia Pacific.
Ning said the company is looking to expand its network of investments in the "world's major production areas" for agricultural goods, namely in South- and North-America, Australia and Russia.
