In an effort to fight the global financial crisis and provide a spur to the economy, the Chinese government has been pressing forward with its industry-specific stimulus plans. On January 1, Premier Wen Jiabao said during a visit to Qingdao that the government will work on measures to revitalize ten key industries.
On Wednesday the State Council annouced the last two of the ten support plans, which was focused on non-ferrous metals and logistics industries. Previous suppor plans include the auto, steel, textile, equipment manufacturing, shipbuilding, electronics and information industries, the light industry and petrochemical sectors.
