According to the General Administration of Civil Aviation of
China (CAAC), China has mapped out its new air routes to Europe and
the US for the 2008-2009 period.
A source from the CAAC revealed that the administration had
conducted long research, including many seminars and fielding
suggestions from Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan
Airlines and Shanghai Airlines. In total, applications concern 27
new regular air routes to the US and Europe and increasing
passenger flights by 206 a week.
The source said CAAC would disclose its draft plan for new air
routes and flights in the next few days and that it would be
finalized by the end of the year.
