Tianjin Private Equity Funds Society was set up on September 16. It is the first of its kind in China. Tian Suning, chairman of the China Broadband Capital, was appointed as the society's first president. Wu Xiaoling, deputy governor of the People's Bank of China, will serve as the first counselor for the society.
The society will work on direct financing, focusing particularly on industry fund trials and private equity funds. In addition to recruiting international private equity funds, the society will endeavor to help raise venture capital for private businesses and small & medium enterprises.
