Holding Company (CNAHC) told the China Securities Journal
that to date the CNAHC has not made any affirmative gestures to
approve or disapprove of cooperation between China Eastern Airlines
and Singapore Airlines and all the media reports about the CNAHC's
approval are groundless rumors.

relevant governmental departments have approved the cooperation
between China Eastern and Singapore Airlines, the CHAHC, as a
state-controlled company is not supposed to vote against the
cooperation. Some media even disclosed that during a meeting
between the CNAHC and China Eastern that the CNAHC's top heads
stated it was a misunderstanding on the part of media that they
would vote against cooperation.
